We are proud to be organizing and hosting the 4th annual Ottawa Riverkeeper Triathlon & Duathlon.  The Ottawa Riverkeeper Triathlon & Duathlon is the first outdoor triathlon of the Eastern Ontario season and it's right here in Ottawa on the shores of the Ottawa River.

Due to its success, this early season outdoor event has been moved to Britannia Beach, on the Ottawa River and the Ottawa River Parkway, to accommodate the growing number of participants. Britannia Beach boasts many amenities, and the cleanest water of all Ottawa beaches, so we think you will be pleased with the new event site.

We feature the same line-up as the 2007 edition of the Ottawa Riverkeeper Triathlon & Duathlon with much more space in which to execute the event. The Ottawa Riverkeeper is an event for everyone, including the Try a Tri, and the Super Sprint Triathlon along with the SwimCycle, Kayak Tri and the longer triathlons and duathlons.

We are also pleased to be continuing to develop and support the Team Challenge Canoe/Swim Relays in support of the Ottawa Riverkeeper organization. Come on out and get your outdoor triathlon or duathlon season off to an early start.

We are most pleased to be working with the Ottawa Triahtlon Club and its Director Geordie McConnell in hosting this amazing event. "The Ottawa Triathlon Club helps its members keep fit and achieve their goals through coached programs that are both fun and effective."

championchip timing - by sportstats
We use ChampionChip Timing at all Somersault races.  This timing system requires that all participants wear a ChampionChip Bracelet on your ankle (Anklet) during the race.  This bracelet contains a computer chip that allows you to be timed.  No chip = no time or place. You are responsible for obtaining your ChampionChip Bracelet on race morning at the Sportstats Tent near the Finish Line.  Do this at least 30 minutes before your race - earlier is better!  Races will not be held up waiting for those who forgot their bracelet. You must return your ChampionChip Bracelet immediately after you cross the finish line.  You are responsible for the cost if it is not returned - and it is expensive.
